β β β β β Have had a couple of good experiences and a couple not so good. The buses themselves are comfortable and clean, but there is next to no customer service. Intercity definitely is definitely a better experience, but fine for the cheap prices.

β β β β β The bus has never stopped at the international airport stop or the address given is not the right one! I expected a refund knowing that I booked a new bus the next day with their company. It is noted that there is WiFi but the connection was catastrophic!

β β β β β Outrageous service on board from the driver. Never had such a rude driver.
Publically embarrassed over the speaker on the bus for not having my belt on quick enough.. I had just switched seats and we had even started moving yet.
Referred to as "the girl at the back making excuses"... Now sitting on a bus to whangarei crying, feeling embarrassed, being stared at by other passengers.

β β β β β Skip Bus is the most unreliable and worst traveling option anyone can choose In NZ. There is definitely a reason to back what I am saying. I have made a booking from AKL to Rotorua and got the ticket confirmation as well. And accordingly, I have made the trip plannings like Hotel, Tour and Activities like anyone else who is going for a trip would pre-plan their tour. But at the last moment I got a call from Skip Bus saying the bus is over booked and they wanted me to call them back on their customer care number. When I called back the agent told me that the bus is cancelled and asked me to search for an alternate option for my travel. This was absurd. The agent gave me an option to travel on the next day which is again ridiculous.
Skip Bus How can you take the booking and give ticket confirmation when you don't know the service will be available or not. And even if the bus is over booked. Why do you take booking beyond your capacity. Due to this disastrous move by Skip Bus i had to incur huge loss in terms of money and time. Ultimately, Skip Bus ruined my trip !!
I would not recommend this to anyone else.

β β β β β Excellent service I will be using this bus company again. Easy to book online and professional and friendly service Bus/coach was comfortable and clean. I recently used intercity and was disappointed with their bus drivers rough attitude towards travelers and they were overover 3x the price for a slower trip We'll done skip you offer a fabulous very well priced (cheap) bus service.

β β β β β caught bus to Auckland from wellington about 27 December 2019 and then whanganui the following day, then back to Auckland then wellington, this company is very very very low in cost, there is no toilet on board but the driver made plenty of stops, the bus was clean, the drivers are very polite etc. recommend this bus company as a cheap way to get around nz, i think my bill for wellington to whangarei and back again was about $100. this was over the holiday period too. there were issues with traffic which delayed the trips by several hours, this is not the fault of the company, the drivers made the best of a bad situation on got us there eventually they even took a few shortcuts to save some time. Overall this is value for money, for $100 return over new year period you can't be too picky. finally safety was good and seats were comfortable. recommend traveling with company

β β β β β The bus was clean and we left on time but the driver was not the most organized person. He made passengers wait without any notices, did not mind the queue we made and started checking tickets unannounced. Some were quite confused. We didn't feel as welcome. Also passed by the airport even if it's not on the route (and we have NCOV situation). Good thing we arrived safe. Can improve with the customer service.
