โ โ โ โ โ Great day out, our coach driver William was great and really knew his stuff as was the jet boat skipper Jimmy, they made the day a lot of fun.
Trip included scenic stops and interesting and funny commentary of the local area and the jet boat ride was great fun and finished up with a very impressive "handbrake slide" back into the dock.
Definitely recommend the skippers Canyon jet over some of the others.

โ โ โ โ โ Really enjoyed this tour. We were looking doing this and the Shotover Jet, but picked this one because the Shotover Jet had been cancelled. I am great we went with Skippers. We were picked up in the middle of town and the drive to the boat jetty was about as enjoyable as the boat ride. Willie, our driver, was funny and provided great commentary. Would recommend. Only complaint is that I wish the boat ride was longer. I have included some photos from the ride in.

โ โ โ โ โ OMG what an amazing way to finish our week long adventure in Queenstown. The drive alone was an experience. It was so stunning. Our bus driver had the best sense of humour, loved it! The jet boat experience is fast but also very, how can I say it โ therapeutic. Itโs a must do thing in Queenstown.

โ โ โ โ โ Skippers Canyon is amazing! The journey out is a bit nerve-racking but the driver's are very confident so there's not too much to worry about. The jetboating was fun and the staff was amazing. I haven't tried the shotover, but I don't think you can beat this experience!

โ โ โ โ โ Jet boating usually isnt my thing but I had such a great time on this trip! The scenery in the canyon is what I enjoyed most about the jet boat ride, the spins and how fast it goes are bonuses :) the bus ride out was just as entertaining as the jet boat ride in my opinion! Woolly was so informative and was happy to chat on the bus and the views were amazing. Would definitely recommend

โ โ โ โ โ The bus trip into Skippers Canyon never gets old for me. I went in March 2012 with my father and we went on the Jet Boat. This time I am here with my husband and much more crippled up with walking but was still able to manage the bus trip to do the Scenic Tour and gold panning. Wasn't too worried about the panning but learning about some of the history and examining some of the old items on display was worth the effort on my part and the cost for us both. The bus ride is a thrill in itself when you see the cliff faces dropping away from the road. The drivers are skilled and experienced having made the trip over and over, so you don't need to he alarmed when they swing the bus out wide on some of the more difficult corners. But it sure sets one's heart to racing. Mine anyway. If you want MORE than just a jet boat ride for your money, this is the tour to choose. You still traverse a long distance in the jetboat through narrow canyons with lots of thrills, just like the bigger companies with the bigger buses and advertising but with this group you get that added thrill with the steep narrow drive into a rugged canyon with beautiful scenery and a commentary of all the history behind the canyon and the original track into it, and this road that came later, but is still steeped in history. I strongly recommend this tour as a must when you visit Queenstown.

โ โ โ โ โ This was the most expensive jet boat option in Queenstown, but with the best experience. Added to the jet boat is a small bus into Skippers Canyon.
The guide is excellent and provides informative info about the gold rush. The views and road and history are very enjoyable.
The jet boat ride itself is great fun, our two children loved it.
Highly recomended!
