★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such an awesome place to stay. Hospitality excellent. Peaceful and relaxing. The farm animals we got to feed the sheep and the new puppies are so beautiful. So many working dogs also. Listening to the birds is always nice. Highly recommend at least 2 nights stay as great price. With Curio Bay 10 minutes away you may get to see the penguin and Hector dolphins. The restaurant has seafood chowder I can recommend and Palento chips that taste very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent host, hospitable welcome, comfortable, very clean facilities, homely. Highly recommend this place and an extra bonus of Aurora visible just down the road if your lucky. Will be back if I am down this way again.

Our stay has been wonderful, the owners are lovely and we got the best sleep ever. There was puppies and sheep to feed and in general everything was really awesome. Our room was even equipped with a little kitchen and which was super handy too. This is the most amazing place to stay if you want to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommended and we're already hoping to come back again :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great value for money and we had a comfortable stay. Be aware that you need to take your own food, including milk, as there is nothing nearby (especially from Sunday-Wednesday when many places are closed).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Justine was an excellent host. Staying here was the best decision I made for my solo trip driving around The Catlins. The common kitchen and bathroom was modern and with impeccable cleanliness! Getting to feed sheep in the paddock and play with their cute dog (Jack Russell Terrier?) who roams around the property were the "cherry on top". Indeed the ideal place to start and end your Catlins adventure, just an hour from Invercargill. If you're not into camping grounds and after dorm/hostel accommodation, this is definitely the one to go for. They have private ensuite rooms too! Maybe I'll be back for that in future :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We absolutely loved our stay with Justine. Beds clean and comfy and a great cooking and lounge area. Shearing was happening the day after we arrived so was great to see the guys at work - and I didn’t see one knicked sheep so those guys were experts. Only a few minutes drive to Slope Point which we had been told wasn’t much - but it was stunning as the photos attest. Very handy to lots of other lovely Catlins sites.
Thanks so much Justine would love to come back - maybe one day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a beautiful spot. Absolutely loved our stay here and recommend to anyone looking for some peace and quiet away from it all. We were running late for check in due to road works but Justine said no worries and the key was in the door ready for our arrival. Loved watching them move the sheep in the morning past our gate and seeing their farm dogs at work up on the hills. Sitting out on the deck taking in the scenery and eating dinner in the sunshine was a must! Perfect location to call home whilst you explore the surrounds. Will be back :)
