Definitely one to recommend! At the drop of a hat they came and helped out in an extremely difficult time for our family and went above and beyond very awesome crew to deal with!

Stone cracked my window on the way down to Taupo. Turned up around 1pm that day and they found space to be able to replace my windscreen and get me back on the road all within 3.5hrs. Good stuff.

Waited ages for appointment to get my windscreen fixed and then they wrecked my forward facing cameras and the nice guy at Ford had to pursue them till they admitted liability. Last time I needed a new windscreen waited ages and they ordered the wrong one and didn't realise till the other one was out. Unproffesional and they all park in there so customers are left to find parking on the road. Never again, next time I'm using Lakeland Glass hes much better.

As promised, here's the one star review. I keep my promises, unlike yourselves. Despite knowing full well that I had to arrange in advance, with cost and effort, to be on site due to my work commitments, you decided to cancel the job at the very last moment. Before you write your response, yes, I was profane on the phone. You deserved every word of it. To all prospective customers, beware of this business. By the manager's own admission, they put their large volume customers ahead of individuals such as local householders. Don't give them the time of day, let alone your money.

My vehicle got windscreen damage while on holiday in Taupo. I rang the Smith and Smith glass 0800 number on the Saturday to see if I could it repaired before I drove back to Wellington on the Wednesday. They said that they would get the Taupo branch to call me back the Monday or Tuesday. When I hadn’t heard back on Tuesday morning I decided to ring the 0800 number to cancel the call back as I would be leaving the next day. The 0800 number transferred me to the Taupo branch. The person that answered the call ( Sandra?) said they didn’t have my request and that they were booked up until next week. I stated that was weird as the 0800 number said that I would get a call back. She said that they were closed last 4 days and that they are an independent business from Smith & Smith which I thought was weird as why are they affiliated? Anyway I said I would get it repaired in Wellington when I got back and she said “you never know you could get more windscreen damage on the way back”. I was taken aback by this comment, why wish people misfortune! I think she was trying to be funny but it didn’t come across well at all. Customer communication needs to be improved between the 0800 number and the local business so the right information is conveyed when you ring ( local branch is closed until, they are booked up) and between the local business and the public.

Really lovely people. Would love for them to do the job. I really need it because of my health but it is far too expensive for me. ?
