First class service from them all the way unlike Ford taupo who were so rude to me on the phone I took my Ford to pit stop. They understood the problem, the urgency and the need I had to my vehicle. Professional and awesome and will be my mechanic going forward!!!

I was attended by a lovely lady, who helped me with something small in my car, others did not take the time. Thank you very much.!!

Wouldn’t recommend this place at all, booked a wof days prior to the appointment. Got told it would be done by around 10:30am from that phone call. I got there, they said it would be done by late morning. They finished it at 1:15pm. This is the 4th time I’ve come here for services/wof and they have always been late and given me a false finish time. No stars if I could, never coming here again!

Wouldn't recommend at all. Would give -5 stars if it was an option. Tried to get a warrant twice. First time failed ( minor issues ) second time booked it in to get it all sorted for warrant and would be told it would be done by 3. Waited the 3 hours and all they had done was clean the lights and the battery. Tried to say it wasn't booked in for a warrant and the guy who does them wasn't there anyway. Was then charged $208 and didn't even do the warrant that was organized the day prior. Waste of a day as we live an hour out of town. Would no recommend. Have also been there when they've charged someone for work that they didn't even let the owner know about. Thanks for the waste of money and time. Been there 3 times and no one good experience. Should have learnt the first time.

Never have been here, bit going by the reviews, I never will. Those ones giving praise are either friends, family friends, or fake pages. Anyway, you should shut down your shop with the reviews here

I was driving unaware i had a flat tyre on a tuesday morning. It took a toll on the tyres and rim so i took it to pit stop taupo to put new tyres and get the ruined tyre fixed plus the rim. Keep in mind i know almost NOTHING about cars. I’ve only had my car for not even a year and i’m still learning and am on my restricted. Susan was very nice and treated me with human decency. She explained that she was looking for a new rim for my car and that it takes a few days to get a hold of which was fine. But i still wasn’t sure about what service was done so i went back on friday 29/04 at around 11:30 to check on any updates cos i still didn’t get any calls and susan wasn’t working that day which was fine. So the older man peter reluctantly “helped” me. I took him to see my car and i said can you please explain what service was done on tuesday as i wasn’t 100% clear. He explained quickly what was done and he assumed that i crashed my car ruining the rim but i didn’t i said correcting him but he didn’t seem to care about his wrong assumptions. When he finished his explanation he didn’t even check if i got it and as he was walking away i told him i still didn’t understand and he just kept walking not looking back to which i asked him to come back and when he came back he shouted (i’m quoting) “i just bloody told you”. Literally shocked at the lack of respect and understanding he showed. Instead of going over it with me again he decided to shout and lose his temper to a question. I work in customer service and i would never treat a customer like that. I’m extremely disappointed how i was treated and definitely never coming back to this business. Not all customers are going to understand mechanic/car stuff so to treat someone like that is not only humiliating but terrible for business, god only knows how many people he’s talked to in that manner.

I booked for a general service and WoF for January 7th two months in advanced to have my car ready for an important long distance move. The day arrive I find the shop is not even open that week so my time is already wasted. My hastily booked appointment over a week later had me drop off my car at 9:45am and expected a 2-3 hour job. 4 hours later and I call to ask about progress and I am told that my car was finished half an hour ago and they “did not have my number in their system to call me back”. Which was nonsense as I have made several calls and two emails providing all my necessary details, not to mention I left my name and number on their covid contact form at the entrance. I’m not sure how they expected this to be okay and just let me waste all day waiting for a call when I am losing work hours. Unfortunately my car needed repairs so I had the displeasure of booking a third time for two days later. Dropped off at 1pm and 3 hours later I am called by their receptionist that everything is done except my wheel alignment because “their hoists are occupied with dismantled vehicles”. I ask how is that my problem when I have booked my car to be repaired, not “repaired partially due to their poor organizing”. I was also not informed that their technician who does WoF checks was not even in for the afternoon and I was suggested to bring in my car a third (technically fourth!) time to get the WoF rechecked. Again, stating how it is not my job to know when the WoF tech is in and it should have been implied I needed the WoF redone anyway, they were able to have him in by the end of the day. Ten minutes past closing and I am able to pick up my car after no small payment. I give two stars because after laying this all out, I received a complimentary, but small, discount for compensation and they made an effort to get my car finished within the day instead of forcing me to book another day and trip out for another appointment. Poor system management, lack of communication and bad organizational standards that make it the customers’ problem.

I've been using Pitstop Taupo for 6 years now. The whole team are really friendly and exceptionally professional. Their communication is amazing, I'm always kept well informed throughout the process, they're very helpful in finding good deals for parts, and they have patiently explained things to me on many occasions as I'm not very familiar with cars.
