★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great product and really happy with it. Smooch were great when I went in to take a look at the range but their after sales communication is terrible. I know we were in a lockdown but it took about three weeks for them to answer phone calls and emails. Felt very difficult to get hold of them or get any response from them. Found it very odd they do not give out assembly instructions with the products unless requested

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for sofa beds and we are SO GLAD to have found these guys. Great products - the design is both innovative and attractive. The guys are also a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process. Dean and Franz are both fantastic, especially Franz whom we've met twice. With the pandemic and all there's understandably challenges with shipping and logistics and it's a worldwide problem - the team at Smooch has been able to keep us up to date with the shipment of our orders, and to provide accurate updates. We received our goods within the time frame we were told, and while waiting for our shipment to be delivered, the team at Smooch also provided us with a set of loan sofa. Absolutely incredible! Thank you guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed with the Monte Carlo. The mattress is so hard and it’s very uncomfortable, both to sleep on and sit on as a couch, not like the one in the store we saw. Will probably have to buy another one as can’t ask guests to sleep on it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought sofa/bed early '22 from Auck. showroom. Delivery to central Mt Vic. Wgtn apartment arranged for February. Specific discussion with pleasant salesperson about the s/bed needing to be lifted up 2 small sets of stairs to Level 1 apartment. Invoice was noted about delivery accordingly. All paid for upfront of course. Delivery day in Wgtn. Delivery man refused to assist carrying s/bed into apart. Claimed he had not been told he needed to assist up the small stairs. In the initial lift I injure my arm against a concrete wall and race upstairs to the apartment to get a plaster so blood doesn't seep onto the s/bed. Back in 2 minutes I find he has bolted - literally. Incredibly, subsequent enquiry reveals delivery man is in fact the director/owner of Smooch.With huge difficulty, got the bed inside - but a challenge assembling the thing. Some holes incorrectly drilled. Phoned AKL for help. Initial response over the phone from salesperson about the owner is very telling. We are put on to Franz at Smooch, a calm and pleasant guy - he tries to assist. To no avail. I am in AKL shortly after and visit the showroom finding the Bolter there - who says he doesn't recall me. Less than charming. Weeks later he is in Wgtn and, fair enough, goes to the apartment to remedy the assembly issue. But he doesn't know how the assembly works. Amazingly he bolts again. No message or communication. We send photos to Franz who tries again to help. In contrast to his employer. We finally manage to figure out the repositioning of hinges ourselves. Ordinary product, extraordinary service. Mulling over a Disputes Tribunal claim. The star is for Franz.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While the design concept is great, the implementation is lacking attention to details:
- the solid bed frame supposed to give a good support to whole body - in reality the upper half of the bed is about as twice firm as lower one - for a toll enough person torso is crossing the division and it feels like lying on steps covered with cushions;
- folding back rest support is a great idea - it's a shelf for a book, phone etc and also brings the back of the sofa forward for more comfortable seating position - in reality, because there is no way to fix the back side firmly enough in horizontal position - leaning back of resting elbow result in it going back to vertical position - they only way I could use it is by putting stuff underneath it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the Monte Carlo Queen size sofa bed that we bought. It has turned our spare room into a second living room / 4th bedroom. The quality is really good. Nice and comfortable to sleep/sit on. Easy pull out sofa bed and love having the extra storage for pillows and blankets
