★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there tonight to pick up an order and and a young man waiting for his order was not wearing a mask. A number of patrons questioned why he was not wearing one and he was asked to leave. Did leave but came back in. Owner was asked why he was not questioned why he was not wearing one before being served and her response to this was the young girl of 13 did know what she was supposed to do this. Owner was then asked why she was serving if she did not know the rules. Owner then said if she was serving would have not served the customer. Totally unacceptable response when Omicron is getting rampant in NZ. Should not have young staff being responsible for asking the question. Owner then went on to say how she always monitors mask wearing to protect the Whitianga community. That to me is a total lie. As a business owner in our community more diligence needs to be put in order here. Given this happened tonight whos to say it has been a regular occurrence over time. I will personally be telling the locals of this unacceptable behavior of one of the local businesses in our community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There were a few people waiting for their order when we went so we were expecting to have a bit of a wait however they were very efficient food was delicious and hot! I highly recommend the home made prawn dumplings that are made fresh every day!!! The staff are also very friendly and very helpful. Definitely coming back! ☺️
