★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Snowden Bush Scenic Reserve is a beautiful and iconic native bush block complete with several short meandering walks, adjoining the grass reserve that borders St Paul's Church in Brightwater. There are several picnic benches dispersed throughout the reserve and a public toilet (long drop!) is located at the beginning of the trails. If you wish to lengthen your walk, the path exits onto Waimea West road where on the opposite side the walkway continues to the Lord Rutherford Sports Ground, the Brightwater BMX track, and the private Brightwater Allotment gardens. Please note that bikes are not allowed on the Snowdens Bush Scenic Reserve walkways.
