Welcome to South Wellington Intermediate School.
Emerging adolescence is such an important developmental stage. South Wellington Intermediate School is set up with the physical, emotional and academic needs of this unique and complex group always at the forefront. Even though we only have a short time with your students, we make the most of every opportunity to provide them with a wide, challenging and varied range of experiences.
We have a strong focus on communication, and every step taken will be discussed with students and parents alike. We encourage you to participate with us in your child’s learning and hope that you will support the many opportunities and activities on offer.
At South Wellington Intermediate we don’t see these two years as solely a time to prepare students for High School, but rather see it as a unique and special time where the journey into adolescence is valued. Students are supported to become independent learners, thinkers and actors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looking back I had a decent time at this school. I made some friends who i still have today years after. However the school does not provide support for additional learning needs and neglect things such as psychological abuse and bullying amongst students. There are good opportunities for sports and other enrichments such as math,science,debating and other.
