On 2 occasions have had the misfortune of being put through to a manager that has the worst customer service skills known to man kind, speaks to customers like they're dirt on his shoe. They also completely overcharged for tap replacements and didn't give the quotes they said they would. The other time they installed a water tank poorly that the hose falls off constantly.
Switched to a rival plumbing company for another tap replacement and it was a breath of fresh air to be treated nicely and be charged 2 thirds of the price. Never using these guys again.

I'm really happy at how quickly the team handled things but would love to understand the original cost for a quick job. Have changed my review to 2 stars as overall I still feel like it was poor value.
Similar feedback as Carl Beange. We had a blocked drain that was causing water to back up. The two man team was able to clear the blockage in about 20mins.
I'm glad it was unblocked but the $685 we were charged is ridiculous. I was told that it would cost 485 over the phone (which I thought was reasonable for what I thought might be a few hours work.) They then charged an extra $200 for extra labor. It took 20 minutes.. what extra labor?!
I should have waited for other quotes but I know for next time that I would never use this company again. I emailed them to question the invoice and had no response. Wont use again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I updated my yacht cooker/oven, and decided to get compliant with the gas regs. Daniel quickly assessed and then did the required work to an amazing standard - he was on time, easy to contact, and worked with my marina to comply with their contractor on-site requirements.
Getting compliant wasn't the nightmare I'd thought it might be and I encourage other boaties to use Southern Plumbing to get their gas setup compliant and safe.
It's great now to open my cylinder and not have a nagging feeling that I could have gas leaking from somewhere...
I'd tried two to other companies in the past and they weren't even interested in marine work. These guys are definitely the business.

Firstly the customer service chap I spoke to was fabulous, really understanding and helpful. The plumber magically arrived within the hour and fixed the problem, he was a good bloke and very quick and efficient. Would highly recommend and they will now be my new go to for any plumbing I need done. Great work SPG.
