★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The yarn selection leaves a lot to be desired compared to Paraparaumu/Palmerston North locations.
If you're looking for knit/crochet supplies I'd say just order them, or head up to the Paraparaumu location if you can.
Pretty solid fabric/sewing, & dishware selection though!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Layout was hectic, things just thrown against the back wall in some areas. Things were in different places than what the signs said, and staff seemed a bit condescending about me not knowing this, and they were low on stock for a few things. Craft area seemed nice though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed our evening,however limited menu. Only Pizza on offer re that night,due to Staff issues re Covid. Wasn't initially made aware. Plus wished to shop afterwards this was closed when we were finished,and 2 people couldn't shop the produce. Just saying. We were making the best of it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this store. Has tremendous range of household necessities except furniture and electrical appliances. For handcraft needs this shop has a massive range of products. Spent over an hour eyeing their goods. The shop needs redesigning as the aisles are too cramped and very difficult for disabled or wheelchair users or mums with prams to get around. The entrance and exit are like a maze, very cramped ND narrow and I would not like to be trapped in the store during an emergency.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picked a rug with a sticker price of $300 only to find it was on sale for $150. Very happy, however if you had the actual price on the item I'm sure you'd sell many more. I was happy to pay $300 for this but many wouldn't, however I'm sure they'd be happy to have paid $150. If you can price the checkout cost of your items I'm sure you'll move much more merchandise.

Spotlight consider this acceptable.
If you contact the online store they direct you to the physical store. The staff in the physical store could not be less interested. After some time the store claim they only keep VIP (strange name for a customer you don't want to look after I know) records for 24 months.
Online customer support however claim they can find records but state no transactions on the date shown on my Visa. Back and forward go the emails until you give up and shop elsewhere.
The products I buy are cheaper and better quality at Mitre10, plus they honour not only their warranty but also the Consumer Guarantees Act.
From now on I'll be smart and drive to Petone to shop elsewhere.
