★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der kleinen Holzkirche am südlichen Ende des kleinen Ortes Franz Josef kann man ruhig einen Besuch abstatten. Vor einem Jahr hat Local Guide BradJill Travels die Kirche besucht und eine interessante und lesenswerte Rezession geschrieben der ich nichts hinzufügen kann:
„Die Kirche St. James ist eine historische anglikanische Kirche, die am State Highway 6 kurz vor dem Tal und dem Eingang zum Gletschergebiet gebaut wurde. In den frühen 1930er Jahren erbaut, gab es einmal einen Blick auf den Gletscher, der durch die Altarfenster gesehen werden konnte. Was für eine Aussicht, die während der Gottesdienste gewesen wäre.
Die Kirche ist eine einfache Halle, die auch außerhalb der Gottesdienstzeiten besichtigt werden kann. Bei einem Besuch in Franz Josef können Sie sich ganz einfach umsehen. Es gibt historische Informationen an der Wand des kleinen Raumes, bevor Sie den Gottesdienstraum betreten.
Das Äußere der Kirche ist auch schön. Neben einem attraktiven Äußeren gibt es einen Garten und einen schönen Blick in das Tal und die Berge hinter der Kirche.

The church is a singe hall of simple construction and open for visitation even during non-service times. You can easily pop in for a quick look around during visits to Franz Josef. There is historical information posted on the wall of the small room before you enter the worship hall.
The outside of the church is nice as well. In addition to a attractive exterior, there is a garden and nice views into the valley and mountains behind the church.
Note: With short walking distance, there is also the historic Lady of the Alps Catholic Church. It is worth a look-see as well if you enjoy visiting churches and old buildings during your travels.
