β β β β β What a great experience flying with Glacier Country Helicopters over the Franz Josef, Fox and Tasman glaciers as well as Mt Cook! It was incredible when we landed on the snow surrounded by mountains. We played with the snow and took photos for about 15 minutes. We were 100% lucky with the warm weather and clear sky. The service including transport to the flight spot was very professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

Rachel, our pilot was amazing, professional, and put us at ease straight away. Nz family owned, if you want the true kiwi experience fly with glacier country. β β β β β Our helicopter ride over the Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to the South Island. The flight had to be postponed due to cloud over the mountains but the team at Glacier Country Helicopters were in constant communication helping us to organise a time we would be able to fly, this ended up being just after 8am the next morning. Despite not being able to do a snow landing or see the mountains beyond the top of the Glaciers, because of the poor weather, this was still a once in a lifetime experience with incredible views.
Thanks to the team at Glacier Country Helicopters for making our flight happen despite the conditions.

β β β β β My daughter's recommended Glacier Country Helicopters as one of the more affordable operators. That's very true, but there is so much more. This is a family business of very experienced pilots with a great personal touch offering flights from closer to the mountains than many. Arguably approaching from the west is better if the weather prevents you from crossing the divide, which was our case. The landing was great, we are still stoked a day later. Look no further!

β β β β β Did the scenic flight to Franz Josef which was amazing. Get a short stop on the snow to take in the views and take photos. Gus was our pilot who was friendly, knowledgeable and helps take photos. Best time to go now while tourism is low so you get the views to yourself. Worth every cent!
