We booked the Igloo for our Flat-Dinner last night and it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, the service, the food and drinks. Honestly absolutely worth every cent. Apart from that I've been eating and drinking here before quite a few times in summer and it's always a great time with friendly and quick service and a great atmosphere.

Cool bar it’s really awesome sitting outside on hot summer days drinking a nice cold beer. Anyways super friendly and helpful staff that give great service. They have a great selection of beers and wine’s. there whiskey selection is great. They have some good options when it comes to eating if you are vegetarian. The prices are very fair

Had the pumpkin gnocchi (got the last one) ? and it was outstanding. Light and fluffy and full of yummy flavour. My partner had the loaded fries with pulled lamb and tzatziki. Delicious. The staff were fantastic. Especially Lucy who was so friendly and attentive with some great recommendations. This was our first time, but will definitely be back.

Situated in the beautiful old St John’s Ambulance building, St John’s is an idyllic spot to sit and soak in the summer sun. For the last few years they have embraced and expanded their front lawn area with an outdoor bar and DJ booth, adding to the summer ambience with bean bags and low tables surrounded by a picturesque picket fence. Surely one of the perfect Welly spots for a cold beverage and an afternoon of people-watching as the sun sinks west over the city skyline.

Great service and friendly staff. Very communicative as to ask when we wanted each course to come out and gave us plenty of time to decide which we appreciated. We had the BBQ Pork Belly, JalapeΓ±o Rice Balls, Korean BBQ Chicken and their Loaded Fries were amazing, with pulled lamb and tzatziki instead of the bland bacon or beef mince and cheese. All of which was delicious. Also had a Mocha and a Mocktail that was like a Choco-Berry milkshake. Also they take the new Covid regulations with mask wearing and vaccine passes seriously, as 2 of us are close to a high risk individual we really appreciated that. Highly recommended and will definitely be coming back to try some more food. Cheers! ?

Today’s lunch was at @stjohnsbarwgtn. I loved the new-ish decor since it was renovated a wee while back! Loved the chilled and relaxed vibe especially during a week day lunch, quiet and peaceful! Another great wee place to catch up right in the city. Food wise, depending on what you order! Today we ordered: -Crispy Martinborough Lamb Ribs - EXCELLENT! Juicy, soft and tender -Free Farmed Crispy Pork Belly Bites - the flavour was okay, but the pork belly were over cooked so they were rather hard and tough to eat -Truffle Fries - a great accompaniment to go with the meat dishes! Fries were nicely seasoned, nice touch with the truffle flavour, salty-ness and the parmesan. I’d love them to be covered with sprinkled parmesan (lots of it) instead of shaved parmesan but it was fine - Salted Caramel Parfait - BRILLIANT! Highly recommend it, it was SO DELICIOUS! Perfect combo and flavours! - Tiramisu - it was definitely more on the dry end. Let’s say it was more a slightly dry tiramisu cake. Overall, 4/5! Just make sure you order the right dishes and you will be alright! #internationalfoodieinwelly insta: the_travelling_nom
