★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If only Auckland had more places with the vibe St Kevins arcade has. Lovely selection of small business stores and eateries, Bestie spilling out into the communal area down the end looks like a great space to eat and chill. Enjoy the graffiti wall on the way down to Myers Park.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's remarkable how this terrific arcade from 1924 has not only survived but is way better than 10 years ago. The Green Dolphin bookstore is the best place to buy books in K Road.
Gemayzae Restaurant serves fantastic modern mid Eastern style food for sharing. Mo's barbershop is legendary for the sharpest men's hair styles in the area. And the Japanese bar is also totally fun to go to with friends. Best Japanese whisky selection in Auckland.
I like this book focused place immensely.
Stalgic Society is a great place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I enjoyed shopping in the arcade. I bought 2 sarong at an excellent price, in the he 2nd store on the right hand side. Also, I chatted with Sila, the owner, who was so helpful, professional, and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love St Kevin's Arcade and visit daily, but downgrading my rating due to their practice of closing either early or completely without warning (on public holidays or just whenever it suits them). The published hours should not be relied on. The arcade (while yes, obviously private property) is a de facto key through route that locals rely on, with alternative access between K Road and Myers Park being circuitous, unsafe and unsheltered. The least they could do is post on social media and update Google maps to give people some warning about any temporary changes to hours. I will reinstate my five star rating if they can start being a bit more reliable in this regard.
