★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great coffee (Allpress) and food (bagels and usual brunches plus some from Cambodia if you're lucky) in this little bolt hole in Victoria Park Market. Outside seating and even a hole in the wall on the Victoria Street West side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great coffee. Lovely atmosphere. Good snacks and a light menu so could be a good lunch option. To access this, you need to go into Victoria Market - it's not on the main Drake St, but actually inside the market where all the shops are. No toilets here but there are toilets in the market.

Also the breakfast burritos are delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cute coffee shop that's hidden down a shopping arcade on the way into the CBD. They offer a 50 cents discount for bringing your own cup, which I haven't seen much in NZ. I enjoyed my long black and my wife had a refreshing iced soya latte. Cofficianados shouldn't rush here, but it's a decent place to fuel up.
