★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called into the Otaki shop last Wednesday on my way to a funeral in Australia. Bought a beautiful heart with Kia Kaha on it to give to the family. Was treated with such overwhelming love and kindness when I cried in the shop that I will never forget it. The family absolutely loved the heart and it was so meaningful for them. Looking forward to being able to buy on the website as I don't often travel that way. Many thanks for having such beautiful products

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We supplied this store goods stupidly on credit and they never paid. They never reply to emails and never answer calls. This is a WARNING to supplier and CUSTOMERS. CUSTOMERS BE AWARE. THIS SHOP WILL LIKELY CLOSE DOWN AND ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS WILL BE INVALID. IT IS THE RETAILERS RESPONSIBILITY TO HONOR WARRANTY CLAIMS. NOT THE SUPPLIER. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store does not feel it necessary to pay the small, local, suppliers who hand make their products. After months and months of trying to call, email, contact via Facebook, they ignore every request. It is a sad day when people can't pay their bills to tiny wholesalers who rely on prompt payment to survive. Incredibly disappointed. You should be ashamed of yourselves!!! State One Designs (both stores) ordered from us on the 14 December 2018. Today is the 12 December 2019.... we are still waiting for our invoices to be paid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently had a really poor experience with this store regarding a bag my partner purchased me for Christmas. Upon receiving said bag I noticed that it was heavily sun faded where the price tag and handles were. I took the product back on Saturday 4th of January and they were lovely and asked if I wanted a replacement bag which they would have to order In and would be here by Wednesday the 8th. I happily agreed to this and gave them my partners contact details so he could pick up for me when it arrived in on Wednesday. By Friday we had still not heard a thing, Monday he popped in to check what was happening as was told that due to Christmas etc supply from Their suppliers was slow. Keeping in mind this is now the 13th jan, but sounded plausible.
I had tried calling them within this week to no answer. I then tried to call them to get in touch from the 13th jan - 23rd of January and left voice mails to no luck.
I went back In on Thursday the 23rd jan Nearly 3 weeks after returning the bag to be store. The girl serving had to call the owner to find out what was happening with the bag. I was Informed that it was expected the following day, would I like to wait for it To arrive it.
I asked for a refund which they put into my bank account rather than cash or back onto the eftpos card like most retailers which I felt extremely uncomfortable with.
While in store the people serving are lovely and personable, trying to get a refund or communication from them when there was an issue was appalling. The fact that they had my partners number and made no effort to contact him to let us know there was a massive delay.
Unfortunately as nice as the products in store are I will be sourcing directly from designers or shopping else where as I have now done for my Citta bag which is now confirmed on its way to me from the supplier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looks like I'm not the only one having trouble getting any response or money from them for products I supplied nearly 4 years ago. Yes they come across as lovely people on the surface. I too am a small business producing handmade products. Have asked for the money or my products back (even offered to send a courier bag for them to return products in) IT'S A PITY I CAN'T GIVE NO STARS, AS THEY DON'T EVEN WARRANT 1 STAR. Hopefully Karma will work it's magic soon.
