Introducing our Team
Our teaching whanau are a long standing team of teachers that truly consider themselves a family. We have fun together, learn together and we all have a vested interest in Stepping Stones daycare centre here in Mt Eden.
Teaching is our passion.
The centre ensures that all our teachers have a variety of regular opportunities to partake in meaningful, quality professional development that cultivates their passion, interests and commitment to early childhood. The centre also ensures that all our teachers have half a day off each week to promote a work/life balance where they can take time for themselves after being so dedicated on the floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You could not find a better place than this. A wonderful environment for little ones to play and learn. Very much a family atmosphere with children mingling across age groups and learning from one another. Staff are genuinely dedicated to caring for the kids while encouraging all aspects of their development. The centre owners adore the kids and strive to make Stepping Stones the richest experience a child could wish for. This isn't daycare, this is your child's education. We are thrilled at our daughter's progress. Her speech, confidence and social skills (manners, empathy, patience, sharing & cooperation to name a few); her creativity, desire to read, sing and join in with others are just some of the areas in which she has leapt forward, in only 9 months! When she first arrived she could not bear to be separated from us, the teachers were so supportive through that transition and since then our daughter is tremendously happy at what she fondly calls "my kindy".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot speak high enough of Stepping Stones Daycare. The start in life it gave to our child was simply mind-blowing - love, confidence, education, laughter and heaps & heaps of fun!
The teachers and owners go the extra mile, and care so much about each and every child - I think that is something that really shines through. I will definately be recommending to people I know in the area.
Hands down the best daycare around!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is always such a hard decision picking the right Daycare for your child. The team and community at Stepping Stones made this decision so easy. Our daughter loves the days she goes to stepping stones. All the staff are kind and caring and make a massive effort to get to know both the child and family. Our daughters allergy needs have always been taken very seriously and dealt with in the most professional way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both of our boys attended Stepping Stones and they were always keen to go. I was always confident that they were safe and happy there.
What I found most impressive about the teaching team is that they are continuously improving. They frequently seek feedback and try new ways of approaching communication with parents, and engaging the children. Their backyard area is a great example of frequent innovation to cater to the children's different interests and their short attention spans!
I really enjoyed an evening event that a few of the teachers held for parents of the older children. The teachers introduced themselves and talked to us about their approach to planning and executing lessons with the children. And they let us try out some of the exercises - it was good fun and a great way to understand how the learning objectives connect with play.
There are also great additional activities available to the children such as Playball, Yoga and Dance - which both of my children have really enjoyed.
I thoroughly recommend Stepping Stones.

Stepping Stones has looked to understand her as an individual and we are always kept abreast of what she and her friends are doing each day. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stepping Stones is a wonderful daycare, providing children with a calm, stable and caring environment.
My husband and I were blown away by the special moments the teachers and staff created for the children on a daily basis.
We looked at a number of Early Childhood Centres, but Stepping Stones stood out from the rest and we weren't disappointed. Our daughter attended from age 2 to 5 and was well prepared for school when the time came.
We highly recommend Stepping Stones to anyone considering sending their child there.
