I was an AFS exchange student at this wonderful school during Summer 1999 (IIRC) and had the greatest time. Have such fond memories I’ll never, ever, forget.

It was ok when I went here for my junior years. Good subjects and activity opportunities for a smaller school and the sports teams are good too. However, bullying and impatient teachers were a problem when I was here, not sure about now. They could improve this.

My experience with Stratford High has been great! They have a wide range of subjects that cater for all your learning needs, the teachers go above and beyond to help the students meet their requirements. A special thanks to a special teacher that really goes above and beyond Miss Lightoller. I highly recommend this school for future students.

(actually 0 stars) Bully culture dominates this school, the principle is basically anti everything unless it's a popular person. speaking of which popularity is everything in this school (including how much effort teachers put into you) causing the popular kids who are usually bullies to get into high positions in one year the head girl was my biggest bully the next it was the head boy, basically they claim to be anti bullying well supporting it all the way.

At this school its a culture to bully other students as the teachers do nothing about it. Teachers care more about the school being politically safe than the students actually being safe. They care more about sending the jocks overseas every year to play rugby than allowing academically gifted students to go on trips to NZ Championships that havnt been accomplished in years They take individuals who dont fit their image and dump them with each other and leave them to navigate themselves around the school instead of showing them where to go.

My expirience with Stratford High was not a positive expirience. I felt like they cared more about there image rather than their own students. There is a lot of bullying within the school but nothing is done about it either the bully is given repeated warnings or nothing is done at all.however when it comes to uniform they are strict on that but are not paying attention to bullying within i feel like they are not taking responsibilty for their actions of not helping vunerable students. however despite all this there is an upside the school runs various social events that are awesome Ie ball/prom disco etc however for me Id give it a miss and choose another school.

Stratford High School is like any other school where it is what you make it - you get out what you put in. Many of the negative reviews this school has recieved have come from very young people who are at the age where no matter what school they attended, they would feel they had a bad experience. Stratford High School is an excellent place. The teachers are dedicated staff who genuinely care about the students' academic and personal lives. I was never a "popular kid" but I did put myself out there to participate in many areas of the school, which ensured my time there was very enjoyable. The subjects offered are well varied, with plenty of arts, culture, and sporting opportunities. The strong sense of pride within the older students is contagious. The Peer Supporter and Peer Mediator programs ensure younger students are well looked after in the transition to high school and create a medium step for students to report bullying and other issues to older students, if they are not confident to go straight to staff themselves. These are programs where Stratford High School is leading the way ahead of other schools in the area. The connection and relationships between year groups, students and staff is enchanting, with a true sense of family. If students progress through Stratford High School with an open heart, they will flourish in respect, pride and responsibility.

cool school, good teachers very funny good humor, highlight about the school is the athletics and the physical education. never had any problems with the school itself what so ever. gives a good effort to equalize the opinions from students and parents.
