★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm new to Hoonhay so I decided I might look for a new local hair dresser. I went into Style plus on my walk home and asked the lady how much she charges for a trim and if she was confident cutting curls since not every hair dresser can. She abruptly answered and said yes in a very rude tone and told me the price. Which by the way is twice amount for a trim I've ever come across at other hair salons. She went on to look me up and down and said if you're not here for a cut you can leave now. I do not recommend this hair salon. By all means.. Go there if you want to be spoken to disrespectfully by the nasty woman there. I will spend my money elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have followed Shona from Ballentynes hair salon to Fendalton Mall salon, and now to her own salon in Hoon Hay. She's an excellent, highly experienced stylist who can manage any cut and any colour - and I have put her to the test over the years! She's also a warm and friendly person who's always ready for a chat. Highly recommended, you will definitely need to book ahead.

Took time to do a comprehensive consultation then did exactly what I asked for.
What also stands out is I can easily maintain style- often some stylist over style and it's impossible to achieve that look at home.
