About Sunshine Childcare
At Sunshine Childcare our administrators are well versed in dealing with MSD (Ministry of Social Development) and working through this process alongside you. We have all the forms available on site that you might need and we can advise on the best course of action for your personal situation.

Childcare subsidy is dependent on family situation, income and hours worked/studied. There are 5 tier rates of subsidy available and WINZ will let you know which one you qualify for. It is a good idea to apply 3-4 weeks before you need your subsidy to start to ensure your invoice is paid on time. From time to time, we may ask for you to make payments until your subsidy comes through.
Most families qualify for 9 hours for under two-year-olds. You don’t even have to be working or in study to be eligible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ❤ 5 years I've been bringing my children here. We love it as they enjoy Kapahaka and Te Reo Maori in there routine. The Kaiako are heaps of fun and always welcome us everyday. My children are very creative and constructive with good boundaries due to what they have been taught here.
I appreciate all the mahi that goes into our tamariki at Sunshine Daycare Centre. Use are the best.❤

The teachers give there all to every child making sure that each child feels special and loved, the dedication of the staff is one of a kind. They worked with us to ensure the transition from home to fulltime childcare has been as easy as possibly on him, with plenty of visits. I was quite apprehensive as we were struggling to get him to take a bottle and they have worked with us to find a solution that works for Ben. He loves the play they do from sand to water play and always has a smile on his face. You can really tell the teachers care.

My eldest felt so at home and welcome that he completely ignored me his entire first visit which ended up being four hours and he was so comfortable in the environment that he started the next day! Both boys absolutely LOVE their daycare and have a great time. Sunshine have been so understanding and accommodating for us and the teachers are wonderful, caring and passionate people. Wouldn't want to send my kids anywhere else!
