β β β β β I had the large breakfast: It would be a great truck stop meal but Cafe breakfast?
If I wasn't mistaken it was McCains triangle hash browns, if not they looked the same
Too many cafes are putting there own spin on the classics, they've lifted the bar and left this establishment serving frozen hash browns.

β β β β β Every time Iβve visited the surf shack the service has been terrible. Extremely long waits or the coffee has never actually arrived after finishing a meal and weβve paid and left without. My family has had the same experience. Staff always really short with you and unapologetic.
Really disappointing as this would be our local as itβs right near our place, yet we now make the effort to drive to town where we know what weβll get.
Food and coffee is great if youβve got absolutely no where else to be.

β β β β β The best breakfast I have had in a long, long time! The sausages were award winning from the local butchers, the bacon was manuka smoked and cooked crispy rather than limp and uncooked. Free range eggs, sour dough with actual butter and not margarine and a delightful relish to go with. Highly recommend :)

β β β β β Great coffee when we dropped by over lunchtime. The cafe wasnβt overly busy and staff maintained strict adherence to red traffic light protocols, emphasizing that we were to keep our masks on if at any time we left our table. The outdoor area had plenty of space for social distancing!
Great to see so many family groups at this cafe, with kids happily playing in the playground while their parents enjoyed their meals.

β β β β β Great food,great service.They had staff away and were very very busy.The website said book.We did but numerous randoms came in without bookings.They were all seated after a small wait.They were very lucky, but that was the staff obliging.Vaccine passport required.
Good prices, massive feeds!!
