★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So many people visit New Zealand to see the unreal natural wonders, but nothing really compares to this. It’s one of those moments when your jaw just drops and you think, “wow. This is why I travel.” Forget the Buller river. This natural wonder overshadows it - literally. 10/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Legend has it the tree was grown from the remains of the fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex into a living symbol of viciousness. In all likeliness it was just a lucky coincidence the tree grew into a shape that looked like the old dinosaur... Or Godzilla.
