There was a little bit of the details requested that got lost in translation or not noted down for one suit among the three but they handled it well and the final outcome was perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Myself and two colleagues were fitted for Tux's recently.
They came out to our office for the fitting and even dropped off the suits at our office for us! All for the same price as anywhere else we looked at.
Painless experience, although we did have a bit of a panic when we realised on the day that we needed cuff-links for the shirts (which we didn't have in the office, had to nip home on the way to the event to get some).
My only advice for improvement in the overall service would be to tell your clients during the fitting when cuff-links are required.
We will certainly be using you in the future though!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little while ago I bought one suit, several shirts and several extra pairs of pants in various colours from TMS. I am still very happy with the purchases and had a good experience with these guys. I always have trouble getting clothes that fit just right and in the past I have bought tailored suits from other companies and was not happy with the results because of the amount spent and the final results.
TMS was an overall good experience for me. Easy to set up a booking and easy to communicate with. TMS did a good job at an excellent price. I did have to wait a bit, but I wasn't in a rush and it was worth the wait. I would definitely use them again in the future.
They also had a great selection of ties, so I bought a few while I was there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I will never buy or hire a suit from this place again.
They messed up the pickup of the suits for a wedding my family were going to. My son was part of the wedding party but the suit was never available to be picked up with the rest of the wedding party. Which resulted in me returning from Waiheke to pick up the suit on the morning of the wedding.
When arriving at the shop to pick up the suit I was informed the suit was ready, which they produced. Unfortunately, the suit provided would have fitted a 24 year old not a 4 year old as requested and as was fitted with many weeks prior. This resulted in further delays as the shop manager then had to drive to Albany (from Queen Street) to retrieve the suit. Which is ironic as the rest of the wedding party suits were picked up from the Albany shop 2 days prior.
Once the suit was given to me I was then requested to pay the full bond. I refused until we had discussed compensation for the mess they had made of the booking and for me missing out on the pre-wedding engagements and the added cost of two extra trips on the Waiheke ferry. This request was refused. We argued for a while before we both relented. I paid the bond and the shop manager agreed to refund the bond plus $50 once the suit was returned. I was in no place to argue by this point as I was going to be late for the wedding.
I made it with 60 minutes to spare.
If you have read this far then you have been warned. If you are in the market for buying or hiring a suit, look elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here last minute before our wedding after we had a bit of a pickle with another suit hire place. They had everything we needed, down to cute little suits for boys. We had two page boys and they weren't in NZ to try the suits but Tailor Made Suits were so helpful they gave us 3 suits to take and try on in case we needed a smaller or bigger size (so very kind of them). The suits are of very good quality and the price is very reasonable compared to other suit hire places. All the boys look so sharp in the photos thanks for Tailer Made Suits!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hugely disappointed in this place. Saw them exhibiting at the Bridge and Groom show, and liked their selection of suits so sent my fiancé and his groomsmen their way.
The initial appointment was promising, and the boys were excited. But then came months of no communication despite increasingly frustrated attempted to check in on progress. Mere weeks before the wedding, my fiancé and the groomsmen turned up for the fitting, but 2 out of the 3 suits didn’t fit (completely the wrong size) and had to be remade from scratch! What’s worse is that my fiancé’s shirt was missing from the order... (he is a very slim build, so a custom shirt was required), which Tony reassured my fiancé was coming later.
Days out from the wedding my poor fiancée was getting pretty stressed trying to chase up Tony. 3 days out from the wedding Tailor Made suits finally organised a last minute ‘final’ fitting, requiring everyone in the groom’s party to drop plans to made it to the appointment. When they arrived, not only was the custom made shirt for the groom still entirely missing, his pants were too tight!
As a result, 48hours before the wedding my very stressed fiancé and I wasted an entire day running around the city trying to find a shirt that fit and would match the suit. We couldn’t find a solution for the pants, so my fiancé had no choice but to wear them. This only added to the stress of the wedding day, making my then husband incredibly uncomfortable and self conscious (especially during photos) fearing the pants would split.
Tailor made suits removed the charge of the shirt from the final bill, and offered to remake the pants after the wedding (but didn’t seem to understand that having pants after the wedding defeats the purpose of ordering a custom made suit for your special day...). When we finally got the pants back 6 months later, they still didn’t fit ??♀️
In summary, the entire lack of attention to detail, poor organisation and terrible communication is not something I would ever want anyone else to be subjected to. The service was appalling and only added to the stress and organisation required in the lead up to our wedding. Would not recommend.
