Check out the toilet deco. Had a great meal as well. Watch out for Milo in the basket. Thanks Karen, the perfect hostess. Plus 49 VCC members arrived to a very cost establishment and we were greeted by the tavern team. They prepared the most delicious 2 coarse meal fit for royalty, yummmy. Thanks again Karen, and kitchen staff. A happy kitchen is a good kitchen. I'll be back, until then keep up the excellent work and yes, thank you all???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This country pub is a hidden gem. Recently renovated. Great food and certainly worth the trip. Check out the motorbike hanging from the men's toilet ceiling!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good pub meals, can recommend the bangers and mash. Good beverage selection. As a city person this place has the character and charm I imagine rural town pubs to have. Especially recommend that Te Araroa walkers go here when you're staying at Birchwood Station.
