★ ★ ★ ★ ★ February 2019 - I was having a late dinner at this Japanese ? restaurant that I found on the Google Map. This is the first time I dine in at this place, it has a modern feel with a bit of Japanese style. There is one entrance, and you need to go through their garden (which is beautiful and marvellous).
I ordered a (rice ? with a few thinly sliced raw salmon fish garnished with spring onions) which comes with a bowl of miso soup. The only let down of this dish was slightly salty. The portion [size] was reasonable.
This is a licensed eatery and you can order the drinks ??????. There is an outdoor area and smoking ? is [definitely] not inside but outside the building.
Street parking ? only.
They accept cash, EFTPOS and credit card payments (there is no Paywave is available), for those who want to know.
Would I go back? Maybe ?
Would I recommend? Yes ? for foodies who love Japanese cuisine ?.
Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Can't go wrong with Japanese dishes. Tasty and delicious ?.
Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Nice and modern interior deco. Great atmosphere.
Price: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Reasonable (pricing).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice karaage chicken. Pretty average seafood noodle stir-fry. Service was pretty poor - the waitress kept disappearing for 15/20 minutes at a time and people had to get up and wave in the direction of the kitchen to get her attention.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picked up some take sways last night. Very helpful staff as I had no idea what was on the menu he explained everything and guided me to the better deals. It was a little pricey (the same cost as dinning in the restaurant). I was happy with the food and would return again. Would like to see slightly lower prices for take away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good outing or dining for couple or with family. The music played was not too loud thus not disturbing your conversation. Pricing relatively cheaper than Timaru or Dunedin. The menu is quite comprehensive with many type of Japanese dishes to choose from. I am happy with the varieties. Good job. Sure to return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have ordered takeaway twice and both times the food has been excellent!! The salmon collection is my favorite. Today I thought I would order the vegetable sushi collection, as I love inari. I was shocked to find the vegetable sushi to be amazing! I love raw fish, and yet this fishless sushi was incredibly good!
I have never eaten in the restaurant, as I have very small children, however I have noticed that the waitress is very attentive, they have a full bar, the atmosphere is nice and quiet, and there is a beautiful outdoor seating area for those nice days!
I look forward to returning again and again! Thank you!
