The Background
Barrie and Railene Mabin, Angus and Esther Mabin, welcome you onto this family property. Taniwha is a working farm with a 100 year old homestead and house paddock encompassing 20 acres of glorious trees, ponds and daffodils. After her youngest son was born 40 years ago, Railene started selling daffodils for Plunket instead of baking cakes! Over the past 25 years Railene Mabin has planted many hundreds of different varieties. In 2017 Railene was honoured to have been awarded the QSM for her services to charity and Plunket in particular through her tireless work selling daffodils. We believe we have some of the best quality field daffodils in Australasia. This setting offers a unique rural environment with many visitors staying for hours.
