★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bare branches of trees wave to me as I trek across the expansive green terrain. The colony of ducks greet me cheerfully as I ponder my existence. The leaves drift absentmindedly from their previous perching places, reflecting the stability of my sanity. The inspirational words etched along the side of the beloved community garden speak to me. "Be kind to our earth." The last dregs of sunlight sit atop the water, reflecting the empty bliss above. The skeleton of what was once a luscious bed of roses leers at me from across the park, a mirror image of the lack of empathy in our current society. The tinkling of bells drifts toward me through the rejuvunating breeze as I conclude that this is quite simply the best park within a 1km radius.
