★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently purchased a pair of shoes for work but they unfortunately were unsuitable and not fit for purpose, so I called in to exchange them. The shoes were in their box in New condition and with the receipt. Well.... I was met with hostility and was made to feel very uncomfortable. I was TOLD they didn't exchange sale items. I explained I wasn't informed of this at the time and it wasn't written on my receipt. After a discussion on my consumer rights, the woman went to call the owner as to a decision on the situation. Meanwhile I sat in the shop listening to the three assistants talking about me and the shoes.
Apparently he agreed to exchange them on this occasion. How kind. Needless to say I won't shop there again any time soon. Shame because I really like their shoes and have bought many pairs from them over the last 10 years. I have given them 1 star for customer service, not for the shoes.
