 This is a warm congratulations to the people of that marae. We arrived the other day to search for a hidden object (geocache). Even though we stood in front of the gate, that marae looked beautiful. I am from England but our home is in Christchurch now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kurz bevor die Straße eine Kurve hinter den Wald macht, sieht man diesen sich die ganze Küste entlang erstrecken. Sehr beeindruckend wie auch die große Zahl an Treibholz (sieht man sonst gar nicht so häufig) und die vielen beschriebenen Steine, die Besucher hinterlassen. Wegen der Ausrichtung auch für wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge bekannt.
Shortly before the road curves behind the forest, you can see it stretching all along the coast. Very impressive as well as the large number of driftwood (you don't see it that often) and the many described stones that visitors leave behind. Also known for beautiful sunsets because of its orientation.

The previous rage of the heavens was ferocious. Angry waves blitzed the first echelons of the rainforest floating in a veil of sea spray, like a battering ram, littering the permanently volatile border of two realms with debris as far as the eye could see.
This isn’t quite over yet. A fresh wall of clouds is rolling in a quiet and deliberate fashion towards the luminous climax of another coastal storm.
There is a strangely cold visual poetry associated with Nature’s power plays and the peculiar way it intoxicates eyewitnesses with an infectious anxiety.
