★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I had the best time at Te Whau Lodge on our honeymoon. I can't say enough about our hosts - Judy, Marg and Rob are so kind and make you feel so very welcome. I have celiac disease and they went above and beyond to make sure that I had a gluten free option at breakfast. Speaking of food, their breakfasts and evening canapes are scrumptious... they could put out a cook book they're so good. The rooms are designed around the fantastic view, which even on a rainy day is impossible to get tired of. We really had the most perfect stay at Te Whau Lodge and hope to be able to come back in the future. I highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give Te Whau 10 out of 5 I would do so. We absolutely loved the three days we spent here. The location is incredible and I think the best views anywhere on Waiheke. The accommodations were impeccable and elegant. The hospitality was amazingly great and each day a new, delicious breakfast. My sincere thanks to Marg and Rob, you made our stay wonderful. I would very highly recommend Te Whau to everyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lodge is very nice, room is excellent, view is amazing, service is great but our experience ended very bad as they ripped us off.
We stayed just 1 night. They kindly offered us the pick up on the ferry by email, and they did not mention any fee for this service. We thought it was included in the room price as it was already very expensive. After that many times they offer to drop us somewhere or pick up, like when we were going to rent a car, Rob (the owner) was going to drop some people at the ferry so they said we could go together. They keep asking us every time what we were planning to do and offering this “help”. Other time we have to return the car and as Rob was cooking the breakfast, so they offered that other guy could pick us there. Any moment they mentioned any fee!
At the checkout, they give us the bill and we were charged for every transfer a very high price, even for Rob service, and for the other guy it was twice the price ($45 for each transfer service)!
We were very angry, upset and disappointed as we felt we ripped off. We rented a car for 1 day only but with the amount we payed if they informed us we had rented a rent a car for 2 days already when we arrived I at the ferry, and we did not need their “help” any time. It was cheaper and more comfortable to us to go anywhere any time.
We said that we were very upset because they did not mention that this service was charged and they just said: I am sorry for that, we forgot to say.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WOW - not only is the Lodge beautiful and relaxing, but the hosts are equally as charming. Our stay just happened to be on one of the most gorgeous days of the year, still the ambiance and views would be just as nice had the weather not been exceptional. We can't rave enough about the location...simply wonderful. What a nice way to spend a week-day. The food cooked by our host Gene, was first rate, and the friendly atmosphere added to an all-round superb mini-break. Thank you again for such a lovely visit... hope we'll be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent 2 nights here during our honeymoon and this place was phenomenal. The views were incredible from anywhere you looked. The hosts, Marg and Rob, were two of the most pleasant and accommodating people we met on our trip. They made us feel like we were at home from the moment we arrived. It felt like we’ve known them for years. The only thing I’d do differently would be to have stayed here longer. Highly, highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Te Whau Lodge on our honeymoon. The rooms are fresh and modern, featuring stunning views. We loved sitting on our balcony and taking in the scenery. Marg and Rob are terrific hosts and they serve an outstanding breakfast each morning! They also provided excellent recommendations to help us get the most out of our time on Waiheke. Would love to come back here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely Beautiful - I don't even know where to begin - from the amazing service to the 4 course breakfast (and AMAZING coffee) every morning, our 3 days at Te Whau ended our Honeymoon on a high note! We traveled to the lodge between Christmas and New Years of 2018 and it met every expectation we had. Each evening the hosts had a happy hour for guests with local wines and delicious appetizers. In addition, the rooms were very clean and well put together - the view can't be beat. We traveled NZ for 2 weeks and this hospitality exceeded every other 'boutique' hotel we stayed at and made us feel at home despite being 9000 miles away! I wouldn't have wanted anything changed and highly recommend for anyone else looking to relax on Waiheke Island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Te Whau Lodge is absolutely beautiful. The views from our room were unreal, with an unbelievable sunset as a treat each night. The food each day was amazing, and lovingly prepared by the hosts (who are probably the most friendly people in the hospitality industry). My wife and I were on our honeymoon and loved every moment of it - such an amazing spot, and such lovely people in charge. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Waiheke, as this is a retreat within a retreat, and one of the best spots on the island.
