About Tea Pea Home
Scott and Meg McMillan are the couple behind independent homewares stores and lifestyle brand Tea Pea Home. Started twelve years ago as one of the pioneering online stores, Tea Pea Home has grown to two bricks and mortar stores and continues a thriving online presence.
Its founding values have remained firmly planted throughout this time, that of inspiration, creativity and generosity of knowledge. Scott and Meg are committed to bringing together independent brands and designers from New Zealand and around the World, curating the unique look and feel Tea Pea Home is known for. New brands are invited, and most existing designers have become personal friends of Scott and Meg, with their long history in the industry.

Scott and Meg live in a 1950’s house in the leafy Wellington suburb of Khandallah with their three lively children - Griffin, Coco and Rosie and Tibetan spaniel pups, Wolfgang and Dolly. Scott is also a partner in the marketing communications company, Once Upon a Time and a board member of Retail NZ. Each day is a jam-packed mix of the latest round velvet cushions, Icelandic sheepskins, rattan daybeds, football, mountain biking, princesses, and uneaten lunches at the bottom of school bags.
A splendidly chaotic life.

β β β β β Fantastic shop full of sumptious delights. Has all the assessories you need for the home. From colourful cushons through to Murcherson Hume cleaning products.
As soon as you enter the store, the lightly perfumed air greets you like an old friend, and so do the staff. They are very helpful when you looking for something special.
Do spend time with the candles as they are all very good at establishing the mood for your home.

β β β β β Lovely place to look around with a wide range of products at different price points ie something for everyone. I went to look at candles and ended up purchasing a stunning pure wool blanket (designed in NZ and made in Latvia). I was able to take it home first to see if it worked and pay over the phone or return within 24 hours - a nice offer and focus on customer satisfaction from friendly staff. Recommend retail therapy.

β β β β β Unique, quality, gorgeous gifts. My boys were excited to receive their felt finger puppets. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. The store is beautifully laid out with gifts for all ages. Gorgeous baby and young child gifts/toys and clothing items that are not matched by any big name store. I will be sure to visit online and in person on my next Wellington visit.
