Telpower Canterbury Limited - Strowan

Do not use I booked a TelPower representative to perform an electrical WOF on a caravan - 1. Arrived Late Was told by Telpower girl over the phone that a representative is booked in to arrive at my house in the morning. So, I took the morning off work, your representative ended up arriving at my house 3 pm, so ended up taking the whole day of. 2. When the Telpower rep finally arrived at my house. He told me immediately stated that '' he did not know how to carry out the WOF on the caravan'. Seriously he had no idea what so ever. He poked his head inside the caravan, looked at the switched board from the door and just kept shrugging his shoulders AND then continually kept asked me what he should check !!! 3. Looking on Google The Telpower representative then resorted to surfing Google on his work phone, about how do to perform WOF and info on RCDs? Concerned I got extremely worried and anxious and whilst the telpower rep was onsite. I called my colleague of my who is Commerical qualified electrical for a company in Christchurch, my colleague informed the Telpower rep what was required to do to test caravans!!! But even then, the Telpower rep kept shrugging his shoulders. At this point, I said to the Telpower representative that he should go. He agreed and said he did not know why telpower had sent him to perform an electrical WOF on a caravan!!!! I wrote a message to telpower indicating the issues faced and NO reply. But instead got a bill for $82.00 for a service that has not been fulfilled and still want me to pay it!!. I got another provider to perform the Electrical WOF The service from telpower was terrible and whoever you sent, should not be allowed to visit people for Electrical WOFs on Caravans. He provided terrible service, terrible advice. I will never use Telpower ever again and I will certainly never recommend Telpower to anyone

I wouldn't recommend anyone to go with this agency, they have been the biggest upset to our process of renovations. It took them over 2 and a half months to have things completed and that was with the efforts of myself having to chase themdates of when i would see things completed. Majority of the work completed on my property was completed bu ourselves and our electrician, in which they were never good at communicating that our electrition had to do a big bulk of work. We have been changed way more then quoted and have had to pay for extra that have come to over 2k over their quote. This has been the worse experience ever and I just received their final invoice for over 1.4k and its ridiculous. When emailing about wanting answers as to how they can justify their cost and works i was transferred from one department to so many other departments as no one had answers or information they ahould be knowing. If I didnt get through to their manager who delayed me another week taking me close to three months waiting he then proceed to blame ny sparky for the delay in which I correct him and said no as it was due to the lack of communication from their company for works they are meant to fully carry out everything. They offered to change over telecommunications wires and remove them as well but everything is still hanging from my house and the wires they out down for fibre are dead wires and cant be used. For professional help, seek elsewhere
