★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a disappointment. Phoned in a pick up order on Friday night. 3 starters and 2 mains. After ordering we asked what time it would be ready and were told 19:00. It was 18:30 when we placed the order. We arrived at 19:00 to pick up and no order. By 19:25, no order. On inquiry with the staff we were told only then that they would prioritise cooking the order. Really surprised by the approach of the restaurant. I have no problem waiting for an order but when someone phoned in an order, don’t just deprioritise it because we’re not sitting there. Ate dinner at 20:00… now that’s not quite what we had planned…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a beautiful meal here last night. We didn’t arrive till after 9 on a Sunday evening and appreciated that they still welcomed us. Lovely food, would definitely recommend.

BEST THAI FOOD EVER, (and we travel NZ and always have Thai).
It really is incredible and the staff are wonderful, so lovely and helpful.
They do take out too. AAA+++++

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed our meal tonight at Thai Orewa.
Great flavors, good size portions and well presented. Would highly recommend everything we had: prawn bread appetizer, pork panang curry, larb kai (chicken salad —this one definitely had a kick ?), and fried banana dessert. Yum!
Spacious indoor dining room and a few tables outside. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will visit again next time we stay in Red Beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great meal had here and worth the drive from Auckland. Entrees ordered curry puffs (I loved as like a Cornish pasties pastry) also we ordered spring rolls. Mains hubby and I both ordered Pad Thai his chicken, mine king prawn (very generous with prawns I counted 8). Service was stretched as extremely busy, but worth the drive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for dinner and had a wonderful experience. Someone else in the restaurant ordered their flambeau dish and another table ordered a sizzling dish which was a great show! We ordered the satay tofu which was particularly good, the ginger veges, the chicken with oyster sauce, and the basil duck which we all enjoyed. Portions were generous so only one of us finished a whole plate. Would definitely visit again!

They have a new luncheon specials menu. I tried the mixed seafood and noodles spiced to my liking (extra hot). It was superb.
The fried bananas dish was awesome.
