★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful collection of flora in Begonia House at the Botanic Gardens, including seasonal orchids and a hanging air garden. The structure itself could use some TLC though, it's looking a bit rustic and maybe this adds to the charm? Not looking for renovations here, maybe just a touch-up for the paint and fixtures.
Outside is as an extensive rose garden with some of the most fragrant and mixed colour roses I've ever seen/smelled (visited in late March).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafe experience was wonderful. came with a group of 8, 4 being autistic children, 3 teens and an adult. they were so pleasant and uuck to accommodating for us, spoke to us and sorted things out, made things a lot easier for us! polite and well mannered staff. lots of cute dogs around too in the outdoor area and ducks. would be lovely on a summer day but also good with umbrellas over tables.
they totally understood our situation coming from an autism holiday program and this being our outing of the day, made it worth while and the kids enjoyed their chips! will definitely come again!

Have a stroll in this warm spot and check out all the colourful plant life. Then stop for a coffee at the adjoined Picnic Cafe. Very pleasant and peaceful.

At first we almost gave up to walk down to Rose Garden from the top of Cable Car because of the challenging hike. Luckily we still visit here by driving our rental car! The environment and flowers here are wonderful! Cool air and nice flower smells, the inside with rainforest and water plants are even better, I have seen plants that only saw from the the textbook! There is a cafe right next to the garden, decent price, great for break after a long walk!
In my opinion, it’s the best place to visit in Town. Highly recommended!
