β β β β β Space Place is amazing! We visited with three kids who had a blast! (As did the adults :))
The Space Place team went above and beyond to help us with our wheelchair bound son and were extremely friendly and accommodating.
They were knowledgeable, passionate and a genuinely awesome group of people.
We learned a lot in our visit and had a lot of fun. The facilities are excellent and we will be back!

β β β β β Enjoyed the 45min show, and because it was a beautiful clear night, they brought out some telescopes and we could see Jupiter and the Galilean moons, as well as Saturn and its rings. Thanks so much for taking the time to set it up and talk us through it. It was amazing.

β β β β β One of the best place I visited during my trip to Wellington. The Space place is very informative and interactive, good place for kids and adults. The shows at the planetarium are amazing. We watched the show on Matariki and it was done very well.

β β β β β this place was super interesting and informative. we didnt have time to do other things so i just walked around the museum but it was so cool. they had real meteorites and a real piece of the moon there to touch so that was super interesting to look at and a highlight of the trip. they also had a store which was really interesting because they had things like periodic table cups and more scientific toys which is quite different from the usual souvenir store

β β β β β A great place for dad's to take a 60 minute nap to the soothing voice of the host and sounds of the planetarium viewing. The chair is comfy and if you do open your eyes it's dark and starry. Fascinating for the kids. There is a fee.

β β β β β The heavens declare God's handiwork...
We were mesmerised by the exhibit in this place and definitely an ideal educational trip.
Science is the study of matter and how things came to be and despite the theories that the universe came out of a chaotic event, such a order of a universe and galaxy does not seems to tally with that theory.
From the exhibit, it is said that the stars are actually formation of gases. And since I am a firm believer of creation theory, may I say that through God's breath and command the universe came into being. Of course, it is debatable and I how can we conclude our theory based on a theory itself?
Anyway, we enjoy the show in the planetarium and we saw the amazing telescope... which was more than 150 years old. We saw the surface in close proximity and it is awesome!
This is really a well deserving place to visit.
Warning: the cable car cease at 7pm and the telescope viewing begin at 7:30pm. After the telescope viewing, we have to find our way back through bus and long walk.
