★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4 of us went on a Saturday night; the place was full. It could have been a little warmer, but otherwise I could not fault anything about the evening.
The service was great - they gave us plenty of time to make our choices, never at any time made us feel like they were in a hurry.
Our entrees were delicious. A good size for sharing, hot if they were supposed to be, cold if not.
We were all very happy with our mains. Too much for 3 of us, really nicely cooked and presented, no mad rush to get us finished.
Very happy with the evening, we will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent restaurant and great service! Love the gin menu. We started with the Wairiri Buffalo Mozzarella and it was simple and delicious. The pizza was gorgeous. I had the Fiorentina and each bite was juicy with truffle oil and melted cheese. Wow. The chocolate cake was really rich but not too heavy and gets an honorable mention for my favorite application of hokey pokey crunchies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love The Birdwood. The food is 'wow'. Everyone I go with loves the fantastic food and great atmosphere - it's cosy, inviting and the people who work there are lovely. There are lots of tasty gluten free options. Once I took my foodie uncle who lives in France - he absolutely loved his meal and we went back again the next night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly welcoming staff members. Wide variety of menu options, with vegetarian choices, including allergy Friendly options. Delicious food, I chose the cornbeef hash ? Do not overlook the cabinet items, because there are daily fresh made salads of a high standard. One of our folk chose a cheese scone, another had a date and cinnamon one , both stated worthy of a repeat tasting ? coffee ☕ great, takeaways in a reusable cup. All up, head to Birdwood for a lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it!! Sarah was amazing at knowing how much should be served to people at got her number of pizzas absolutely perfect for our table!
She was so patient when taking a group order and serving the old folk who were a bit overwhelmed by the experience of being out again.
We have decided as a family that this was a perfect destination for pizza and the best in Christchurch. The flavours were simple in their balance.
Thank you to the team at The Birdwood for a wonderful experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh my! This has been some of the best food I have had in ages! We had their breakfasts and they were absolutely perfect. On top of that, great coffee. They only have reusable cups at take out, which I fully support. If you don't have one you pay only $3 to borrow a metal one. Fully reimbursed upon return.
Amazing service and you can buy their home-roasted beans too. Highly recommend.

Iimited but nice range lunch. Had GF DF and Vegan.
We chose
Bang Bang chicken Salad GF DF.
Falafel Burger
Both were scrummy and filling.
It has been sometime since I have had a coffee dusted like this one.
