★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place and great help from local volunteers. The wall around the sanctuary is to protect birds inside from predators. The first loop is landscaped so it is easy access to families and wheelchairs. Well worth the small fee, families or year long passes, which helps to maintain the facilities

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a lovely walk around the Brook Sanctuary today. Was greeted by very friendly staff (Katie) and a volunteer (Sally) who gave a great introduction on how the sanctuary is run.
We did a small, 1 hour walk around a well sign posted route. You need to wear trainers for some of the routes and the longer ones would be best with hiking boots. There is a wheel chair./ stroller friendly route as well.
We paid $40 for a family ticket which was exceptionally good value. We would definately recommend it to everyone and will visit again in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just went on an orchid tour here last weekend which was fantastic. Our guide, Erwin, was very friendly and knowledgeable and took us to see an impressive amount of blossoming Easter orchids. I've never seen anything like it! There are also lots of cool fungi and plants and the chance to see native fauna. Highly recommended for the tour or just for a nice hike in a protected and natural area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great experience. Great value. Wonderful information from staff who played us bird song recordings so we knew what to listen for. Impressive ongoing work to improve the tracks with some new bridges in place. Many thanks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a magical place - the staff are so friendly and helpful and everything is so well organised. Sign posts get you where you want to go and the map they give you as you come in makes it really easy to navigate. We had a fantail come right up to us and follow us for about 1.5kms.
There are some amazing places to stop along the way with crystal clear streams and amazing little waterfalls. This would be a great place to take kids and teach them about native birds and trees.
