★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many thanks to Melvin and his staff. My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and the food was delicious, thanks Chef, the young lady waitressing was just lovely, and thanks to Melvin everything just went smoothly.I would recommend this venue 10 out 10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the interior is very old fashion (but I'm Dutch, a kiwi might judge differently), it is a welcoming place. Perfectly located next to the children's playground. Staff is friendly too.
The quality of the food was very good. I've had the nachos and it was extremely filling, tasty (later I found out I could have asked for a half portion, I wish I knew before as it was too much) and delicious. A good price for such a good meal. I would definitely visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most of the food was great excellent even except the ham that was so salty no one at our table finished there's. The bar was well stocked but the pricing was like the Da Vinci code my wife bought the same drink three times for three different prices then my Neice paid 17 dollars and change for a Vodka lemonade and bitters. The waitress however was excellent bright bubbly efficient simply wonderful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were singing and having personal conversations. Which wouldn’t normally bother me but they were inappropriate for my child to hear. They also completely ignored my mother and her order when she was finally acknowledged she was told “I’ll be right back” ended up leaving after 20minutes of waiting.
Now the food that I managed to order… the nuggets tasted off, the chips were undercooked and the blue cod… the fish tasted like flour and the batter was still raw and SO thick. Blue cod doesn’t need batter a centre metre right round! It was Uneatable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are visiting Invercargill, go to the Cheeky Llama for a daytime meal! It's the best! If you have kids with you, this goes double! Don't expect super fancy stuff. Just basic stuff, but done very well. A Southern classic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced smashed avocado on toast. $17 for two pieces of white bread, a less than generous portion of avocado and two eggs. Toast was hard and cold and so were the eggs.
Not a great deal of options for those with food sensitivities. Coffee was good and a good selection of alternate milks.
