★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cube is an amazing hall of residence, unlike any other. I think the fact that residents have to cook for themselves is both better financially, but it also teaches the residents to provide for themselves and gain responsibilities. I lived here in 2018 and for the most part, it was very enjoyable. The staff are all friendly, the views from the higher floors are amazing, the common areas are kept clean, and it's overall a safe space. It's really up to chance if you get roomed with good people, but if you really need to escape your flatmates, the location of the hall is in a good enough area that if you need to escape, you're close enough to anywhere you want to go.
