★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really nice surprise in Port Chalmers! I had never been to The Galley, but being very hungry and after being turned away from another cafe due to dietary restrictions, I tried here and boy I was not disappointed! It was a quiet drizzly afternoon and the staff were so so lovely and accommodating and even made me a custom vegan meal that was exactly what I felt like! The cafe/bar has a big vibey courtyard and I'd love to come visit for a beer in the evening! Coffee was good too, an honest good little brunch spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was on a wee single Sunday drive looking for somewhere to get a bite. Found The Galley ordered an iced chocolate and the prawn seafood pasta of the day. I love a good iced chocolate and this one was one of the best ones I've ever had, real ice cream, good chocolate flavor mmm. The pasta was also amazing and huge especially for $22, I got dinner out of it too. Would highly recommend here ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food. Simple, uncomplicated with delicious fresh ingredients. Lovely quiet back ground atmosphere which we thoroughly enjoyed. This place is magic, can’t be faulted. Beautiful pasta and pizza and best ever pizza bread. Highly recommend
