★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent! Came in because we wanted the restaurant food but it was closed. We ended up having a really yummy chicken burger - the chicken was cooked to absolute perfection. I finished off with a delicious brownie for dessert. We were served by an older gent who had absolutely fantastic customer service. Really happy with our choice tonight! :) Sorry no photos - I was too hungry!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Typical old pub accommodation which tries hard but in need of some TLC. Bar food and beer prices very reasonable, even on a bank holiday and staff extremely helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ meals and staff was outstanding .. the meal of garlic prawns and pear and beetroot salad blew us away and well priced , highly recommended the appearance of the pub maybe outdated , but compliments to the chef and staff worth your moneys worth being a old school pub

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aimee, i haven’t been refused at your pub as i’ve never been… you TRIED to call me out for being underage at a different pub but got fooled because it was my birthday?So next time you think you’re right, maybe just whisper what you have to say to someone, as it was highly entertaining when you got told you were wrong, trying to out me to an audience ? Plus i don’t work at any hospitality place in Akaroa so i think your a bit confused…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only had a few drinks in the bar, staff were great. It might not be the prettiest place in the world but has lots of live music and its your typical nz establishment for a small town. Had a nice time.

The pub downstairs was buzzing. Live music from 4-7 on Saturdays, watched the rugby and had some awesome platters.
