People are nice here. Didn't have soap once. People are more than willing to help and gave a bit of soap to me, good place?

I went to The Laundry on 07/03/18, and again today19/03. On 07/03 I used WM3 and my washing finished dirty. No laundry powder had been dispensed into the load. There are explicit instructions to hold the money slider in for two seconds to activate the laundry powder dispenser. I considered I may have messed up the technique the first time round, so put another $4 in the machine and held it in for 5 seconds. No laundry powder was dispensed. The load finished dirty, again. When I realised I sent The Laundry a text message as per troubleshooting instructions on the wall. The laundry person phoned me back promptly to tell me I mustn't have held the slider in for long enough. I told him I'd likely done that the first time, but definitely not the second time, and that I'd like a credit to keep me happily using the laundry again, to which he replied he would drop $8 into my letterbox. I asked to have credit instore instead, as I will be using the laundromat weekly, and I would text him the next time I was in to wash and receive the credit then. He agreed to my suggestion and I came off the phone feeling like it was sorted. I went to The Laundry today with four loads of washing to wash, and dry. I loaded WM4 first, then WM3, then 2, and lastly WM1. WM4 washed clean, but washing machines 3, 2 and 1 all failed to dispense the washing powder into the load. I sent the manager a message at 4:55pm to say they weren't working, then one saying I'd paused them by lifting the lids, and was running down the road to buy powder for those three loads. Another customer had put money in a drier that didn't work, but was able to take his load out, loaded the next drier over, put money in, and it worked. He told me that he'd sent the manager a text message, had a call back, and someone was coming to help him get his money back. After getting the powder and restarting the machines, close to 6pm I sent another text to the manager asking for the refund he'd promised me last week, as well as compensation for today's failures. I warned a new customer that the WMs I'd used weren't dispensing powder, he loaded up anyway and paid with hope, but found his load finished unwashed as well. By the time my three loads finally finished the man using the driers was still waiting to be "helped". I unloaded my washing and left. I had run over time due to the failure, and was late for my next appointment. I left just after 6pm. I got a text message response at 6:18pm suggesting I "go to another laundromat". I only just picked up my phone and read it. I'm disgusted by this response, but agree with his advice wholeheartedly. I suggest we all go somewhere other than The Laundry in New Brighton. It's simply a rip off place. They don't deliver the advertised service, and didn't make an effort to right that with me. Don't waste your time or your money there, but do do what the manager says and "GO TO ANOTHER LAUNDROMAT"

Great place $1 coin operated change machine inside way better then liquids laundromat

The place is very clean and very good looked after. The machines wash clean and the prize is really fair. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The next time we are in the area we come again. Thanks Roland and Bella from Switzerland

Quiet, clean, easy to use both washers and dryers. Choice of tumble dryer size. Friendly manager. Change machine worked perfectly. All adds up to lovely clean laundry. What more can you want. Thank you.

Awesome place, because it's 24 hour , no key needed. Coin operated and has change machine in side. Fast effective washers and dryers. Only down side there is 4 washers and you may have to wait depending on other users. It is an asset to the new Brighton community .

Nice tidy clean washing and drying units here. 1st time user n easy to use.. clean premises... tv for viewing and a change machine thats awesome!!
