About The Learning Corner
Kia Ora! I have been with the Learning Corner ELC for 9 years and the field of Early Childhood for almost 20 years. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in ECE. It is my passion to support and empower young children in their learning journey and value the partnership with their families and whanau. I’m also passionate about literacy development and play based learning. I am a mother to 3 wonderful children who has taught me the importance of providing a nurturing, loving environment and its role in a child’s development. I feel honoured to work alongside the excellent team here at the Learning Corner who has been like a family to me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All my 3 children attended Learning Corner (LC) childcare from 1yo-5yo (with my youngest one turning 5 and will leave LC next month). Being a childcare owner myself, i have very high expectations in terms of what's deemed a great childcare centre.
Learning Corner ticked all the boxes and they have a team of very passionate as well as caring team which give me peace of mind leaving my children with them when i am at work.
I have no hesitation in recommending anyone to LC.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our daughter attended The Learning Corner since she was a baby up til starting school in 2018. She has grown and developed wonderfully during her time here, and has created bonds with the teachers that have now extended beyond the centre.
While attending TLC, she was excited to head in just about every day (every child has their off days!)
During her time at TLC, as well as the usual pre-school head start in literacy and numeracy, she has developed a strong sense of empathy and expression which has been well nurtured by the amazing teachers here.
She loved her time there and still loves to visit regularly on our way past to school to catch up with her friends and old teachers.
The teachers at TLC from the babies' room, the toddlers' room and the preschool have all helped her blossom over the years and she has had the best start possible to school.

The teachers treat them like their own, always ensuring their health and well-being is cared for at a very high standard. Their teacher-child ratio is always very well maintained, evidence in the fact my children have rarely had an accident occur, and when they did it was a result of their own personal exploring and developing risk-taking skills. I highly recommend this centre to all ?

Thanks to all her caring teachers at the centre who helped her develop her social and emotional skills. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I now have my third child at The Learning Corner, which is a testament in itself to the quality of childcare my children have received over the last 8-years. The teachers form special relationships with each child, which helps provide a caring, safe and welcoming environment for the children. My first 2 children (now in Primary School) were well prepared to enter their next stage of education - with great social skills and confidence - which were built during their time in the daycare. The facilities have been upgraded over the years and provide great areas for play, exploration and general fun for the children.
We have always appreciated how the staff cater to individual needs of each child, depending on their personality and traits - I can definitely see how positive this approach is with my 3rd child who is currently at the centre. The staff always provide daily feedback on activity and are more than willing to have one-on-one discussions to ensure individual children's needs are met. We really appreciate the management and staff at the centre, and have done for a number of years, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Learning Corner to anyone.

He loved going to daycare to be with his friends and teachers. He started in the babies room and stayed until he left preschool for the big school. He is now in primary and doing really well. Thank you to all his teachers in the Learning Corner. If you are on the hunt for a centre for your child, I highly recommend this centre for its dedicated and caring staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recommend The Learning Corner, Mount Albert without think twice. My daughter was love it here. She got a great start from this child care with an amazing skills in pre-writing, pre-reading, persistence in a task, memory skills and most important thing was concentrate when she eating. The teachers are fantastic and they are ready to give feedback about my child and keeping their portfolios up to date. They are all loving and caring and done a great job of preparing my little angel for school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently transferred our son here after moving into the area. The team and teachers have been fantastic and really helped with the transition. Everyone is very friendly and show a real care for the children. We get plenty of photos of our son's daily activities and the children are always having fun. Our son is really enjoying his new daycare and the environment provides plenty of stimulation with loads of activities. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor space for the children which suits all weather conditions. I happily recommend The Learning Corner.
