★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived just when the lights were coming on! Watched as the lights changed colours from purple to red, yellow, blue! Yet to go in the daytime but I'm thinking more spectacular in the night ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've run this from the entrance near K Road all the way to the other side. Although it is a fantastic bridge and is an awesome way to connect that part of town to the CBD (or at least close to it) there are some areas that I feel would need improvement. One of the major ones is cleanliness. Where grafitti is starting to mount up. To be fair, it is a long stretch of cyclepath and must be hard to maintain. However, it's still a significant part of Auckland's infastructure and needs to be maintained to make it pleasurable for all bike commuters and pedestrians. Other than that, I always feel safe running on it and will happy continue using it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location; love to go for walk or cycling. Kids enjoy the views.
Detail as per councils website: Enjoy a circular 8.5km central Auckland walk that takes in some of our cities great sites, including the historic Downtown Ferry Building, buzzing Wynyard Quarter, Victoria Park, eye-catching Pink Pathway and Auckland University. This adventure provides stunning views across Auckland, plenty of opportunities for cafe’s & ice creams and essentially circumnavigates the central city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful to walk or cycle through at night with all the lights. The glass panes were a bit dirty and some areas were graffitied but overall is a pleasant short walk

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a fabulous piece of infrastructure for walking and cycling, however it is now quite run down and has been deteriorating for some years. If you ask Auckland Transport or Auckland Council who is responsible for it they will tell you it is not them, as I have found out many times when trying to enquire. The photos attached show the state of it as at March 2022, with incredibly grimy glass panels now covered in dust graffiti, cracking pavement (a danger to wheels and walkers) lights that no longer work at night and undergrowth taking over, not to mention dangerous slime on the walkway itself which becomes very slippery in the wet. What a shame to let this amazing icon deteriorate to this state. I think it says something about the state of Auckland Council as the rot seems to have truly set in there. Nevertheless it's still a great asset to the city and perhaps one day the Council will actually do something to reinvigorate it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For those who love to walk and appreciate the beauty of it this is the place to go either early morning or in the afternoon. Bring your bike or scooter or even learn to ride a bike. If your favourite colour is pink, you will enjoy it here the most just like my moko.
