★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The old Te Wero Bridge, made with a rolling lift technology, bolted and assembled together in 1932 from the kit constructed in 1931 in Darlington, England, by an company called Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Company. The Wero has now been fixed down with pipes running underneath; and although in the past buses and cars drive through the bridge, it's now used mainly for pedestrians with occasional cars passing through to and from the car park.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AMAZING bridge of IMMACULATE construction! The entire thing is a masterpiece! I had the good fortune to see the bridge's famous rolling mechanism in action. Much cleaner, smoother, faster, and safer movement than the ones I'm used to seeing near me. Also, the color of the bridge is well suited to its environment, and it's just in a cool part of town. Would recommend to any tourists or bridge enjoyers who visit Auckland!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great engineering feat situated in a place with endless things to do and look at. Quite uniquely, the bridge lifts by pivoting, not around a central axis, but by rolling. Well worth a visit. See my attached photo of the information plaque.
