Do Not go to the white heart in this town. The Local is exactly what you're after if youre into your pokies , jump on the TAB or sitting in the sun with a smoke and a beer, watch the traffic go by. Not great food avaliable but the staff are just fantastic. Would recommend this place for a beer in Hawera.

Good ole sports bar, with down to earth patrons.
Always a favourite after rugaz on a Saturday and good place to pick up a few tips as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Left $250 on my pokie machine, reserved it and went for a cigarette. Someone collected the $ and got paid out from bar staff....its all on camera....apparently unless I go to the police to file a report nothing can be done....Wont be back.
