β β β β β We got married at the Lookout Lodge and it is the best venue. The scenery of the venue is amazing and nothing compares. Family and friends were able to stay at the venue with us and everyone had a great time.
Nancy was incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions.We definitely be returning to stay at the Lookout Lodge again!

β β β β β Great views, but the hospitality is slacking. Owners are extremely nosey and consistently entered the rented out property, Starting at 7am and ending around 9pm. A total of 5 times. During the wedding she turned OFF lights, heaters and closed windows during a wedding. One of the owners stood in while wedding speeches were on while she was dressed in gum boots and a hoodie. Unfortunately sheβll be in the wedding photos. Extremely unprofessional.
A non aggressive private conversation was had with the owner the night of the wedding asking her to give us our space. The next morning the husband/ owner was very aggressive the next morning infront of the bride and groom and kept repeating βweβre the owners. We can do what we want.β
Nice place, but if you want privacy for the price, this is not the place.

β β β β β Our stay was for a big group, and this lodge was absolutely perfect. Our host Nancy was delightful and had everything ready before we arrived. Perfect spot amidst the hills, and so clean and warm with a lot of space to move around in.

β β β β β We booked the lookout lodge for a wedding, and everything was perfect. We had a room downstairs for grandma to retire to without the pesky staircase to climb, an ample number of guests for those overnighting, and the site itself was beautiful and the essence of the South Island. Nancy was fantastic to work with, and Iβd recommend the lookout lodge without hesitation and would love to come back at some point in the future. Thanks again!
