β β β β β This is an amazing facility in Christchurch, named for one of New Zealands best and most iconic children's authors.. The park caters for children of all ages and levels of daring, with equipment ranging from large spider webs, flying foxes, slides and seesaw, to a high tower with a fantastic spiral slide/ tube. My granddaughter loved the splash pad, with its water cannons, mystery fountains and all sorts of water features. We stayed for several hours. There was food available from stalls beside the park, rubbish disposal and recycling bins nearby, and public toilet facilities on the edge of the park. If you have time to spare, and kids with you, go there and have some fun. They even have talking tunes around for kids to call each other. All kinds of fun. Margaret would have loved it. The only criticism I have is that it should in some way reflect her personality, or the character(s) of her writing.
Go there. Recommended.

β β β β β For children, this is a very good playground (there is an age limit, but you donβt have to worry about the age limit when there is no one to watch). There are many activities suitable for children. Parents/grandparents/guardians can watch the children play (no mobile phones allowed). It is beautiful here, beside the River Avon, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, and you can walk to the city center in a few minutes. very nice.

β β β β β Awesome playground that is close to the Christchurch Tram station. Get off at Tram Stop 17. So many different play areas, including water play, flying fox, slides, climbing nets and more. There are also food trucks selling food and drinks as well. Toilets nearby also. A must visit with the kids

β β β β β An amazing play area for the kids right in the heart of city of Christchurch. There are a mix of areas for the kids, water play which is great especially on the hot day we were there, sand pits for the smaller kids with diggers, and then the general play area that is just massive with beets to climb and slides to tear down! Kids loved this spot!

β β β β β This is the best playground I've ever seen, been, experienced so far.
Even though popular and pretty crowded, so much spaces to play, and all the equipment are safety concerned so very safe to play.
There are good toilet facilities and some food trucks, as well as BBQ facilities and carparking spaces.

β β β β β It's a beautiful park that has almost everything that kids will enjoy of all ages (2+ years & above) and parents to sit and enjoy the stream close by. There is a BBQ station and picnic tables available too. Has decent number of parking spaces too. Splash pad is a very good activity during summer too.
