β β β β β Took some friends here to show off the amazing Flinstone steaks that hubby and always have when we visit The Vicarage. Although the drinks service was pretty slow due to a wedding party, and also, being very busy in other areas, we just took the initiative and got our own drinks from the Bar. The Steaks though were to die for, all 5 of them were cooked perfectly, absolutely delicious. Complements to the chef. Also have to give a big thumbs up to the only 2 waitresses I saw all night. A Hugh effort on such a busy night. Well done team. ???

β β β β β Giving us the table in the private room was ideal with a fun sounding pub quiz going on. (We were in the front library room)
The Blondie dessert had run out, most of us were planning on that.
So we chose either Eton Mess or cheesecake.
The Eton mess had barely any meringue pieces (but to be fair the menu doesn't say it does...it's just kind of expected)
It really should be a fruit topped vanilla mousse.
The cheesecake looked more appealing.
But unfortunately the consensus was both desserts were just lacking flavour. Though I did love the lemon curd.
The price is high for the dessert you are presented.
Our waitress was polite, accommodating and attentive. We all enjoyed our drinks.

β β β β β Sat out side for lunch with a beer and nice view of the gardens. I had the Pitas grilled chicken with tzatziki, hummus, tomato chillies jam and salad, wow this looked amazing and was so delicious. Staff were very friendly thankyou.

β β β β β Beautiful setting, eating lunch on the veranda on a warm sunny day in Christchurch. Excellent service, great food and didn't have to wait long for our lunch, despite it being a busy time. The Vegan Bowl was delicious!!

β β β β β Very bad service for such an expensive price food that is at it best average. After waiting for more than 30 minutes since we order the drinks still havenβt been served. When we mentioned that to the waitress she jump in like she wanted to started a fight and her only pathetic excuse was that they had another big table to serve, although the restaurant was half full. Piece of advice NEVER tell your costumers that youβre busy with other costumers, thatβs basic rules on hospitality, but thatβs what you get when you leave the management of your business to part time youngster employee. Although I could catch the name of that rude waiter, the other waiter Kayla needs promotion because she really acted properly wisely and very polite, bravo to her. The second Star is for her otherwise you should get only one.

β β β β β Rainy old day and was really busy but worth the wait for great tasting food. Can't look past the avocado smash for brunch. Flavours were awesome. Once again loved the food. Service was great also, as was the coffee.
